Improving VPN connection speed

Just a quick blog. My work VPN is slow... but the worst thing is I cannot get on the Internet through it. I can use Google, but if I try and follow the links, the page never loads.

So... I did a search and found this page:
http://www.richard-slater.co.uk/archives/2009/10/23/change-your-mtu-under-vista-or-windows-7/

It's a great how-to guide on how to change the MTU of a Windows 7 network connection to an optimum value.

I did, however, have to lower the MTU that I discovered using this method by 100 in order for the wider Internet to be available. This might have something to do with the network configuration on the work end, but either way it worked!

Thanks Mr Slater for your post - 3 years old and it still works!

I sometimes suspect that VPNs are occasionally subject to DDOS attacks. In any case, it is always useful to choose alternate gateways to get the best performance. if you live in malaysia, find the best malaysian vpn gateways.

The best way to boost internet speed is by using a VPN that offers best protocol support that are fastest and secure at same time. I would prefer to check a list of fastest VPN mentioned here. https://www.reviewsdir.com/fastest-vpn-services/
