Working in London

So, I've started my new job as a ColdFusion developer... in London.
Now, I once said that I would never work in the City. My past feelings could be broadly summarised as "Over my dead body."
Well, my body isn't dead, but I'm now working at a small (or very large, depending on your point of view) company in the Theatreland area. I won't be any more specific than that for now.
My first few days have been the hottest days of the year. Typical, really, considering that I'd moved from one job, in Camden, where I had no need to travel on the Tube... Now, I have to take the Piccadily Line for about 10 minutes.
This isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, although it is bloody hot. I would guess it's around 38 degrees C and 100% humidity below ground. Not much cooler or fresher above ground. Air conditioning... I love it!

It's been a hectic few days. Learnt a lot about Fusebox and how it gets very complicated when you start using CFCs as well... We have an MVC framework, lovely, but it's more like MVMVCMC at times... Still, my boss is apparently very happy as he said I'd come a long way, which is high praise considering how short a time I'd been there and how much pride he has in a system he basically wrote.

More of the same tomorrow, Syndication... Always wanted to learn how to do proper search-replace Regular Expressions with references etc.!
